On October 20, the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Summit opened in Shanghai, bringing together more than 300 political leaders, entrepreneurs, experts and others from around the world on the banks of the Huangpu River to launch a high-level dialogue on global sustainable development. During the event, the world's first methanol-electric hybrid family sedan, the Geely Galaxy Star Glory 6 EF, served as the official designated vehicle for the summit, providing shuttle services for guests from around the world and supporting the international event with green mobility.

As the world's first methanol-electric hybrid family sedan, the Geely Galaxy Star Glory 6 EF is equipped with a new-generation methanol-electric hybrid technology that can run on methanol, electricity or gasoline, providing reliable support for this international event. Methanol and gasoline can be flexibly blended from 0 to 100% in the same fuel tank, and rapid refueling can be completed in 3 minutes. Under CLTC conditions, the range is 1250 km with a full tank of methanol and a full charge, and up to 1880 km with a full tank of gasoline and a full charge, allowing drivers to set off immediately without waiting to recharge. This flexible energy combination truly enables seamless switching between "electricity for city driving, methanol for long distances, and refueling with gasoline at any time," completely breaking the limitations of single-fuel use and regional climate conditions.

That the Geely Galaxy Star Glory 6 EF can reliably support the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Summit not only reflects the strong alignment of the two sides' green and sustainable philosophies, but also represents the accumulated strength of Geely's nearly 20 years of long-term commitment to methanol vehicle development. At present, Geely has cumulatively put more than 60,000 methanol vehicles into operation, with cumulative driving mileage exceeding 25 billion kilometers. At the same time, Geely's "Yuanchun" refueling network has expanded to 1,228 stations in China, with an estimated 4,000 stations to be built by the end of 2027.

It is worth noting that the Geely Galaxy Star Glory 6 EF will officially go on sale soon. This marks the transition of Geely's methanol technology system from deep accumulation to large-scale mass production, allowing methanol to enter the mainstream passenger vehicle market as a mass-produced family car for the first time. As a game changer, Geely's new-generation methanol-electric hybrid technology will break the constraints of traditional energy and launch an epoch-making energy revolution.
