On June 5, 2026, the BJ30 Traveler "5 Countries · Break 5 Ignition Fuel-Saving Challenge" themed livestream event came to a close. During more than three hours of real-world testing, it achieved fuel consumption below 5 liters per 100 kilometers under multiple road conditions.

This event adopted a "overseas + domestic" dual-segment verification model. Previously, Beijing Off-Road partnered with local automotive experts from five countries to complete cross-country long-distance tests under different climates, terrains, and road conditions, accumulating driving data covering diverse vehicle-use scenarios. The domestic livestream set up three real-world test segments: urban congestion, highway cruising, and rural gravel off-road, with the entire process publicly livestreamed, achieving a complete closed loop from overseas reliability verification to domestic fuel consumption testing.

In the urban congestion road test, the vehicle experienced frequent stop-and-go conditions, which is the main cause of rising fuel consumption in urban driving. The official combined fuel consumption of the BJ30 Traveler two-wheel-drive version is 5.85L/100km, and the four-wheel-drive version is 6.45L/100km, while the real-world urban measured fuel consumption ultimately fell below 5L/100km, breaking the stereotype that boxy hardcore SUVs "have persistently high fuel consumption."

This result was mainly achieved thanks to the tri-power HEV hybrid system equipped in the BJ30 Traveler. As China's first boxy HEV hybrid model, the BJ30 Traveler adopts a combination of "hybrid + tri-power six-mode + electric four-wheel drive." Under conditions such as low-speed crawling in the city and idling in traffic jams, the system prioritizes electric motor drive, with the engine intervening only when necessary, intelligently distributing power output and effectively avoiding the pain point of traditional fuel vehicles wasting fuel while idling. Compared with 2.0T fuel models, this system has stronger power and lower fuel consumption; compared with PHEV models, the body is lighter and off-road performance under depleted battery conditions is better.

On long-distance highway segments, the vehicle creates class-leading cabin space with a 2820mm ultra-long wheelbase. In real testing, even with a full load of passengers, both front and rear rows felt unconstrained, and the trunk could easily store large outdoor equipment such as tents and camping cookware, while the rear seats folded down to form a flat 1.92-meter-long space. A Polish blogger demonstrated in the real test that after loading a large amount of items, the trunk could still allow one person to lie sideways. Under highway cruising conditions, the hybrid system optimizes the rpm range, balancing long-distance fuel economy and ride comfort.

On rural gravel off-road segments, the vehicle faced complex road conditions such as narrow rural roads, crushed-stone gravel roads, and potholed unpaved surfaces. The BJ30 Traveler is equipped with 215mm ultra-high ground clearance, an ATS multi-mode all-terrain control system, and a professional four-wheel-drive system, paired with a finely tuned off-road chassis. When facing potholes and bumps, gravel scrapes, and mild climbs, the driver can switch to the corresponding terrain mode with one touch, and the four-wheel-drive system distributes power to all four wheels in real time, easily passing through complex rough roads. Previously, overseas experts from five countries also affirmed the vehicle's travel experience in cross-country real tests.

With solid product strength, the BJ30 Traveler ranked first on the same-price list with a 72% three-year value retention rate, while also winning first place in light-hybrid boxy SUV sales for two consecutive years and first place in self-owned light-hybrid SUV sales for 23 consecutive months. Multiple real owners shared their vehicle-use experiences during the livestream, stating that in scenarios combining daily commuting and weekend off-roading, the vehicle's fuel consumption, space, and off-road performance all met expectations.

At the end of the livestream, it was revealed that on June 12, the BJ30 Traveler High-Gloss Edition will officially go on sale. The new model has upgrades in power, small battery, interior, and intelligent comfort configurations, and will also launch an exclusive special edition and customized colors. Through field tests in five countries and multiple road conditions domestically, the BJ30 Traveler achieved fuel consumption below 5 liters per 100 kilometers in all five major scenarios: urban congestion, highway cruising, rural national roads, unpaved mountain roads, and mild off-roading, verifying the fuel economy and overall vehicle stability of its hybrid system under different vehicle-use environments.
